Specification
Aerobic annealing actually means that during the above annealing process, the surface of the steel pipe is oxidized by oxygen in the air to form an iron oxide surface, which reduces the surface smoothness of the steel pipe and sometimes forms surface defects such as pits.
Oxygen free annealing actually involves taking protective measures on the surface of the steel pipe during the above annealing process. One is to vacuum or inject protective gas (such as "nitrogen/ammonia/hydrogen") into the annealing furnace, preventing the formation of iron oxide on the surface of the steel pipe.
Oxygen free annealing is actually a heat treatment of steel pipes in a vacuum state (or in a protective gas atmosphere). As there is no oxygen in the vacuum state and there is no reaction with iron, the surface of the steel pipe has no oxide skin, and the surface finish is bright and white. The surface of precision steel pipe products annealed with traditional natural gas turns black and has oxide skin.
