Features

4130 4135 4140 4145H steel bars are a low carbon alloy steel. They are belong to Chrome-Molly alloy that contains chromium and molybdenum as strengthening agents.

4130 round steel bar has good work ability, minimal processing deformation, and excellent fatigue resistance. It belongs to the category of medium to high harden ability steel. After heat treatment, 4140 has good strength and comprehensive mechanical properties, good process ability, and high yield. The service temperature is 427 degrees Celsius.

4140 has high strength, harden ability, toughness, and deformation during quenching. It has high creep strength and endurance strength at high temperatures. Used for manufacturing forgings that require higher strength and larger quenched and tempered sections than 4135 steel, such as large gears for locomotive traction, booster transmission gears, rear axles, connecting rods and spring clips that are heavily loaded.

SAE4130 round steel is an alloy price steel. Standard ASTMA29/A29M-04. Corresponding domestic brand: 30CrMo Corresponding Japanese brand: SCM430 (SCM2) Corresponding German brand: 34CrMo4 (1.7220)

4130 structural steel has high strength and toughness, high hardenability, and a critical hardenability diameter of 15-70mm in oil; The thermal strength of steel is also good, with sufficient high-temperature strength below 500 ℃, but its strength significantly decreases at 550 ℃; When the alloy element is at the lower limit, welding is quite good, but when it is close to the upper limit, the weldability is medium, and preheating to above 175 ℃ is required before welding; Steel has good machinability and moderate plasticity during cold deformation; During heat treatment, there is similar temper brittleness in the range of 300-350 ℃; There is a tendency to form white spots.

SAE4130 is mainly used in the medium-sized machinery manufacturing industry to manufacture quenched and tempered parts with large cross-sections that work under high stress conditions, such as shafts, spindles, and high load control wheels, bolts, double head bolts, gears, etc; Used in the chemical industry to manufacture welded parts, welded structures composed of plates and pipes, and high-pressure conduits with a temperature not exceeding 250 ℃ working in a medium containing nitrogen and hydrogen; In the manufacturing industry of steam turbines and boilers, it is used to manufacture fasteners for work below 450 ℃, flanges and flange covers under high pressure below 500 ℃.
